Интересно, что многие старые художники Красное море во время перехода/исхода изображали буквально красным. Красный - цвет крови (тж. первая казнь египетская - вода превратилась в кровь), также цвет, который можно ассоциировать с адом. Переход через Красное море иногда считают прообразом сошествия в ад Христа, откуда он вывел праведников, подобно этому Моисей выводит/освобождает народ из Египта и от Фараона. Также переход через море считают прообразом крещения, так же как и потоп Ноя. Вообще в истории Моисея находят много христианских прообразов.
