http://www.godlikeproductions.com/forum1/message1254174/pg1 Genghis Khan’s Blue Eyes and Red Hair
“He must have been tall, with high shoulders, his skin a whitish tan. His eyes, set far apart under a sloping forehead, did not slant. And his eyes were green, or blue-grey in the iris, with black pupils. Long reddish-brown hair fell in braids to his back.”
-
I was reading the other day that according to Chinese history, blonde blue-eyed whites brought Buddhism to China.
-
Think A.Fomenko is not far from the truth claiming Genghis Khan was of Tatar or Slavic origin.
-
I have Chinese friend who thinks Genghis was a "very gentle man."
He also thinks Mao was a very nice humble soul, much mailigned by the wicked western propaganda machine.

Among the treasures of King Tut was an inscribed gold box containing locks of red hair from his mother
That would explain the link with pale skin.

Ancient Egyptians also dyed their hair red.
" Henna was a symbol of immortality and resurrection in Egyptian and Greek mythology and has been used as a cosmetic since ancient times. The ancient Egyptians powdered the leaves and made them into a paste that was then used by women (and men) to dye their finger and toenails. It was also used to dye hair and by men to dye their beards and moustaches, even for dying the manes and tails of horses. "

Eumelanin and pheomelanin gives hair its color, the later gives it the reddish color . Eumelanin breaks down faster than pheomelanin so over time the hair will appear red.
Do the claims of Ramses II havign red actually state the hair is red or does it simply state the presense of pheomelanin?
In the Tomb of Seti I, a fresco by the Ancient Egyptians portrays themselves as brown/ochre colored , Libyans and Syrians as fair/milk colored and Nubians as Black.

"It is the central contention of this study, that Ramesses II was not only White, but that he was a fair-skinned, fair-haired, racially Nordish individual"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ramesses_II
Microscopic inspection of the roots of Ramesses II's hair proved that the king's hair was originally red, which suggests that he came from a family of redheads.<64> This has more than just cosmetic significance: in ancient Egypt people with red hair were associated with the god Seth, the slayer of Osiris, and the name of Ramesses II's father, Seti I, means "follower of Seth."<65>

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_hair
A fragment by the poet Xenophanes describes the Thracians as blue-eyed and red haired. Herodotus described the Budini people as being predominantly red haired. Dio Cassius described Boudica, Queen of the Iceni, to be "tall and terrifying in appearance... a great mass of red hair... over her shoulders."
In Asia, red hair has been found among the ancient Tocharians, who occupied the Tarim Basin in what is now the northwesternmost province of China. Caucasian Tarim mummies have been found with red hair dating to the 2nd millennium BC.<6> (тоже мумии с рыжими волосами)
Red hair is also found amongst Polynesians, and is especially common in some tribes and family groups. In Polynesian culture red hair has traditionally been seen as a sign of descent from high ranking ancestors and a mark of rulership.<7><8>
Red hair is also fairly common amongst the Ashkenazi Jewish populations, possibly because of the influx of European DNA over a period of centuries, or in the original founding of their communities in Europe,<14> although both Esau and David are described in the Bible as red-haired. In European culture, prior to the 20th century, red hair was often seen as a stereotypically Jewish trait: during the Spanish Inquisition, all those with red hair were identified as Jewish.<15> In Italy, red hair was associated with Italian Jews, and Judas was traditionally depicted as red-haired in Italian and Spanish art.<16> Writers from Shakespeare to Dickens would identify Jewish characters by giving them red hair.<17> The stereotype that red hair is Jewish remains in parts of Eastern Europe and Russia.<18>
Early Renaissance artist Sandro Botticelli's famous painting The Birth of Venus depicts the mythological goddess Venus as a redhead.
Montague Summers, in his translation of the Malleus Maleficarum,<53> notes that red hair and green eyes were thought to be the sign of a witch, a werewolf or a vampire during the Middle Ages;
Those whose hair is red, of a certain peculiar shade, are unmistakably vampires. It is significant that in ancient Egypt, as Manetho tells us, human sacrifices were offered at the grave of Osiris, and the victims were red-haired men who were burned, their ashes being scattered far and wide by winnowing-fans. It is held by some authorities that this was done to fertilize the fields and produce a bounteous harvest, red-hair symbolizing the golden wealth of the corn. But these men were called Typhonians, and were representatives not of Osiris but of his evil rival Typhon, whose hair was red.
In the Iliad, Achilles' hair is described as ξανθῆς,<76> usually translated as blonde, or golden<77> but sometimes as red or tawny.<78><79> His son Neoptolemus also bears the name Pyrrhus, a possible reference to his own red hair.<80>
The Norse god Thor is usually described as having red hair.<81>
Esau's entire body is supposed to have been covered with red hair.<82> King David is also known for having red hair, based on the description of his physical appearance as admoni, the Biblical Hebrew word normally interpreted to mean "ruddy", or "red-haired".<83>
Early artistic representations of Mary Magdalene usually depict her as having long flowing red hair, although a description of her hair color was never mentioned in the Bible, and it is possible the color is an effect caused by pigment degradation in the ancient paint.
Red is the preferred dyeing color in Islam. It is said that Muhammad used to dye his hair red.<84> (возможно, волосы красили рыжим в подражание какому-либо образцу?)
Judas Iscariot is also represented with red hair in Spanish culture<85><86><87> and in the works of William Shakespeare,<88>

Queen Elizabeth the First was often depicted with red hair in paintings. This hair was actually a wig. Her own hair fell out at a rather young age due to the lead that was used to whiten her skin.
