возможно s - притяжательный падеж (долина - кого? - Яхима, Яхимова долина), посмотреть бы другие случаи аналогичного словообразования, обязательное это правило или нет


раньше думали, что горностаи водились в лесах Армении, откуда и имя, но ареал их обитания значительно севернее, может, имелась в виду "Германия"?
