*pelag-skoi (Flachlandbewohner, or "flatland-inhabitants"); specifically, Bewohner der thessalischen Ebene ("Inhabitants of the Thessalian plain").

The ancient Greek word for "sea", pelagos, comes from the same root, *plāk-, as the Doric word plagos, "side" (which is flat), appearing in *pelag-skoi.

вот это похоже как раз из архи-пелагос - "Главное море",

но пелагос отличается от пелаСгоЙ как раз на эту С и в конце вместо С - Й.

посему я пока на идее, что разные:

пелас - гой - белые гои

Архи - пелагос - главное море
