3500 лет назад в Греции в Эгейском море господствовали торговцы с Крита. На этом острове все было не так, как в других местах: женщины не сидели дома, а принимали участие в общественной жизни. Их костюм тоже был необычен. Они единственные в Средиземноморье носили скроенную и сшитую одежду. Очень узкий корсаж тесно сжимал талию и приподнимал грудь, чаще всего обнаженную, над пышной юбкой с большими воланами.
