повторю еще раз - невозможно себе представить, чтобы султан Мехмет назвал себя императором Византии. Он мог себя назвать римским кайзером, турецким царем, императором македонским, вавилонским, египетским но никак не византийским, по той простой причине, что Византийская империя была выдумана в тишине европейских ученых кабинетов в XVI веке, но вошла в широкое употребление только в веке XVIII, благодаря трудам Монтескье.
