interest – интерес, влечение, прибыль, капиталовложение, доля
interest (n.) (из англо-французского «interesse») – законная доля в предприятии; из среднелатинского «interesse» - компенсация за потери; из латинского «interresse» - интересоваться, беспокоиться, делать разницу, быть важным; дословно «быть между»; из «inter-» - между + «esse» - быть mid-15c., "legal claim or right; concern; benefit, advantage;" earlier interesse (late 14c.), from Anglo-French interesse "what one has a legal concern in," from Medieval Latin interesse "compensation for loss," noun use of Latin interresse "to concern, make a difference, be of importance," literally "to be between," from inter- "between" (see inter-) + esse "to be" (see essence).
essence (n.) (существо, сущность); из латинского «essentia» - бытие, сущность; из «esse» - быть; из PIE *es- быть late 14c., essencia (respelled late 15c. on French model), from Latin essentia "being, essence," abstract noun formed (to translate Greek ousia "being, essence") from essent-, present participle stem of esse "to be," from PIE *es- "to be" (cognates: Sanskrit asmi, Hittite eimi, Old Church Slavonic jesmi, Lithuanian esmi, Gothic imi, Old English eom "I am;" see be).
Т.е. «нутро» + «есть» (внутренность), русское «езьмь» - «аз езьмъ», т.е. «имаю» + «узы». Калька – «esse homo» - я есть человек.
Дурацкое название «эссе», т.е. описание бытия («аз езьмъ»).
Английское «yes» - да, т.е. «есть», так же «am» = имаю. (В) НТРСТ – NTRST – interest. Совсем уж точно – внутренняя суть, сущность. См. «inter» («intelligent»)
